-- Students of the University of Vaasa can get 5 credits from the course. The credits are registered for the course TEVI3014 Teknisen viestinnän erikoiskurssi - Beyond Green Design. --
Timing: 8.8.-19.8.2022
For the first week the course will be implemented live on campus at the VME Interaction Design Environment, University of Vaasa (Technobothnia, Room TF4105, Puuvillakuja 3, Vaasa) for the first week. The first day will be focused on the Introduction, lectures, cases and group set-up. Students will have contact time from Tuesday to Friday, followed by group-project work at Technobothnia. The second week students will continue working in groups, but the only contact session will be the final session held via Zoom, Friday August 19th. VME will be available for groups to come and work if they choose. Lecturers will be available for coaching during the project period.
The contact teaching during the first week will be implemented via ‘Fishbowl discussions’, whereby the groups (each group having their own turn) will discuss an article that they have read. Depending on the class size, more than one group may be involved in the fishbowl. The rest of the class group listens, and at the end joins the discussion. The fishbowls will be held according to the key themes of the course.
